[005] [Video → Voice]
If you haven't seen that old gunman with the fedora walking around Luceti lately it's probably because he was 'napped a few weeks ago. Now the video of his journal clicks on within his room and, instead of seeing your good acquaintance Jigen lounging on a piece of furniture with legs kicked up on a table and arms sprawled along the back of his seat, you'll look to the lower part of the screen to see a small black furry thing curled up underneath half of Jigen's fedora. Familiar tar-black wings poking out from under it.
The feed will stay like this for the entirety of this creature's nap. Then out from under the hat pops a black cat, stretching long and hard before sitting upright with eyes half-closed. Everything seems normal before it looks up toward the table where the journal is propped and giving the video feed. It's come to some sort of realization, now looking around at it's surroundings and suddenly gives a loud trouble screech of a hiss then continues to run about the room at some point knocking over the journal and disabling the video, leaving the audio to continue. Hissing and scurrying calms down and leaves silence.
"I'm..." Jigen's voice is heard, out of breath and raspy, "I'm a cat?!"

[Action]
Smirking, he sets down his book (Gone with the Wind--he's feeling sappy), and wanders over to his neighbor's apartment with a silent, unconsciously unevens step. Lingering effect of the Shift; having the memories of five years with a cybernetic leg that has minimal tactile sensation would do that to you too, even if the memories were a lie.
He lets himself in, leans on the jamb, and laughs. Even sans jacket, he's still Lupin III.]
So my Jigen-chan's a little Kitty-chan now, huh? Does the kitty need a warm bowl of milk? Tuna?
[voice]
[ Voice ]
Looks like.
[ Voice ]
[Grumble.] I can't even open my door.

Re: [voice]

He stands and walks with a bit of wobble in his legs toward Lupin.]
What I need is a hard drink.
[voice]
[Action]
[The sight of his best friend as a kitty is too amusing for Lupin to bear. He reaches down and deftly scoops up kitty!Jigen, grinning in delight. This would be fodder for weeks to come!]
For someone your size? Even a shot would knock you out. I'm not getting you cocoa either, because of words that they say involving animals and chocolate, but I can get you tuna and warm milk.
Re: [voice]

[Action]
Half a shot then... [He's looking rather upset with being held though doesn't struggle from Lupin's hands.]

[voice]
I don't mean to bother you with it but do you mind seeing if you can find any of those next time your out? I'll pay you back when this is over.
[Action]
[Still smiling, he sets Jigen down on his shoulders gently, allowing time for Jigen to find a stable position. Lupin wasn't normally a person that was overly fond of animals, but he would gladly lay his life down for Jigen if it became necessary. Providing a free ride was an easier price to pay.
He exits the apartment once Jigen is settled, consciously correcting his gait as he passes his room and makes for the stairs.]
Not on my watch, anyway. Lets get you something, anyway. Do you have any cravings besides bourbon?
[Voice]
Re: [voice]
Do you mind, ah...who are you when you're not a cat, exactly?
[Voice]
[There's a very soft sigh, a quieter chuckle.]
You still live on the sixth floor with Lupin, yes?
Re: [Action]
Everything a cat shouldn't crave. I guess I'll just deal with what I can. I'm not eating cat food though.
[Action]
[There's a scowl at this, in responce to the question and not the claws. Lupin starts down the stairs none too quicky. No need to dislodge a cat on his shoulders.]
I was thinking pizza, or something from Seventh Heaven. Places like that.
[voice]
[Action]
Let's go with that for now. Something meaty, maybe?
[Voice]
Yeah, that's where I'm at.
[Action]
Good times.]
We can get it as meaty as you want, with hamburger, bacon, sausage, and all of that tasty stuff!
[Voice]
[Not that she's been able to use them until recently.]
I will be there shortly, unless you would rather not have company.
[Action]
Yes. I don't care if I can't eat it right--it couldn't be worse than eating with a busted tooth...
[Voice]
[Action]
[It's a complaint, but the smile says that he feels otherwise.]
[Action]
Like I can control where any of this hair goes. Just keep your food away from my food and you won't have that problem, right?
[Voice/Action]
[With that she flips her journal closed and slides it into her bag, stopping once at the grocery store before making her way to Jigen's apartment complex. She gets faintly anxious coming up the stairs from the fourth floor, but pushes past it after a moment's silent meditation. Up one more level and she knocks on his door before pushing it open.]
Jigen?
[Action]
[He points at it, big bite of pizza not entirely in his mouth as he pouts at his friend. Really?]
[Zenigata had been worried about the old gangster, since he hadn't seen him for some time. Now...he's a CAT?]
[Action]
The smacking sounds and frustrated growls are inevitable.]
[Action]
[Action]
Not in any rush to bring himself any further embarrassment he decides to keep himself still and only nods at her,] "Hey there."
[Action]
[She shakes her head and sighs, setting her bag of groceries next to the door before walking closer. She kneels and, despite already knowing Jigen, extends a hand to scratch just behind his ears if it is allowed.]
I must say, however. You make for a handsome cat, Monsieur Jigen.
Re: [voice]

Yo, Pops.
[Action]
He shakes his head and moves back from her hand, looking up to her.]
I don't mean to be rude but... [He realizes he hasn't been able to eat a single thing since he woke up this way. His stomach gives a timely growl to suggest this hunger.]
[Action]
He's admitting defeat and nudges the complimentary knife and fork wrapped in napkin toward Lupin.]
Please.
[Action]
But that would be demeaning for the rough and tumble gunman.]
Here. [He shoves the plate back to Jigen.] You know, you're pretty damn adorable like this. You might even be able to attract a few girls if you play this right.
[Action]
You are hungry, yes? [It takes a moment for her to consider. Jigen does not have a kitchen in his apartment, but the communal kitchen will do. She doesn't want to leave him alone. It could be odd. For him, at least.]
...May I carry you? It is strange to ask, I know, but the alternative would be to leave you here while I prepare your meal.
